TACA holds golf tournament at Meliá Las Americas

The Meliá Las Americas Hotel was the venue of the 1st TACA Airline Golf Tournament held during October 22- 27. The sporting event was attended by 52 participants, including players and their party. TACA General Manager based in Chile, Italo Guerinoni, referred to the possibility of a second tournament next year with the attendance of representatives from other Latin American countries.
The duo formed by Maria Elena Yañes and Antonio Kovacevic was declared winner in the categories of Best Ball and Scramble.
The competition was held two weeks after the successful hosting of the 1st Golf Varadero Open Tournament in September, which will also be followed by a second and third edition in June and September, 2009.
Both events are part of the actions at Meliá Las Americas to extend the practice of golf in Cuba.
