Sol Meliá Cuba’s Latin Evening during FITCUBA 2008

Sol Meliá Cuba thanked representatives of the Latin American travel industry for the commendable results of the first quarter of the year. During this period, the number of visits by clients from that region grew by 36%.
Almost 200 tour operators, travel agents, airline representatives and members of the specialized media from 22 Latin American and Caribbean countries attended the Presentation Dinner hosted by Sol Meliá Cuba in the Salon Embajadores of the Tryp Habana Libre Hotel, during the 28th International Tourism Fair- FITCuba 2008.
Gabriel Escarrer Jaume, co-vice-president of Sol Meliá; Gabriel Canaves, General Director of the Sol Meliá Cuba Division; Francisco Camps, Operations and Development Director and also the group’s representative in the island and Gabriel Garcia, Commercial and Marketing Director of the Sol Meliá Cuba Division were also present during the gathering.
Sven Boen, Sol Meliá Cuba’s Communications Director expressed the Company’s thanks and appreciation to its Latin American and Caribbean collaborators and referred to the new plans for this year. “Your clients will be received in our hotels with the same warmth and enthusiasm we receive you tonight, so they can live the magic of the senses at Sol Meliá”.
Guests savored a delicious nouvelle cuisine Cuban menu and were also treated to a spectacular performance by Opera de la Calle, a company intent on bringing the general public closer to lyrical music by merging contemporary audiovisual art with the Cuban classical repertoire.
