Following a comprehensive refurbishment process, Meliá Santiago de Cuba Hotel now exhibits a new image which validates its standing as the only 5-star property in Cuba’s second largest city.
The hotel redesigned its product to ensure that clients who choose the hotel for their business trip or holiday vacation enjoy a marvelous stay in Santiago de Cuba.
One of the novelties is the Regal Service which covers 85 rooms distributed throughout floors 9 and 10, offering clients personalized attention and complete privacy. This elite service combines the best deluxe hotel traditions in an ambience of elegance and beauty, with exclusive facilities such as an independent reception desk and concierge, superior amenities, private bar-restaurant, pillow and sheet menu, personalized mini-bar and daily turndown.
The furnishings in the hotel lobby were renovated and enhanced with the incorporation of new lighting fixtures and paintings by local artists. The swimming pool area was redecorated with comfortable deck chairs, thus providing a beautiful and relaxed ambience for guests.
From August through December, the swimming pool will be completely refurbished. New furniture was installed in the in area facing the Italian restaurant La Fontana and two palapas were added.
Sol Meliá Cuba managers and corporate specialists are also an active part of the process, contributing their know-how and qualifying the hotel staff. These investments and reforms are part of the ongoing preparations at Meliá Santiago de Cuba for the hosting of the 3rd Cuba-CARICOM Meeting scheduled to take place during December 7-l 9, 2008.
