The superb lobby of the Meliá Habana Hotel served as a marvelous setting for the gala dinner organized by Epicur Magazine, Habanos S.A. and the Casa del Habano of the renowned hotel operated by the Sol Meliá Cuba Division in the island’s capital. One of the highlights of the evening was the launching of the Petit Edmundo de Montecristo 2006 and the tasting of the Montecristo C 2003 Habanos, a limited edition with large world acceptance. The social event was attended by participants to the 9th Habanos Festival 2007, a place of encounter for distributors, connoisseurs and enthusiasts of world renowned Cuban cigars, including Alejandro Robaina, designated “Ambassador of Cuban Cigars”, due to his thorough understanding of the secrets of cultivating this wonderfully aromatic leaf and the fact that one of the most famous cigar brand was named after him: Vegas Robaina.
The dinner was accompanied by an artistic show with the performance of dance groups such as Danza de las Giganterías, la Danza de la Escuela de Wushu and Sintesis a popular Cuban band Sintesis.
