The Meliá Cayo Coco Hotel was awarded the Environment Prize by the Territorial Division of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment of the north central province of Ciego de Avila, in recognition for the work deployed in favor of the environment and society.
The prize is yet another step in the hotel's efforts for revalidating its National Environmental Recognition Prize in the category of Responsible Tourism awarded three years ago to the facility. Meliá Cayo Coco was also accorded the 2007 Entrepreneurial Award by the Provincial Assembly of the People's Power of Ciego de Avila for the results attained by this property.
